this fat 8th was folded horizontally and vertically. Orange
dye was poured on the fold and blue on the ends, then the
colors were encouraged to intermingle.

these are the foam stamp letters I bought at Hobby Lobby,
the onion section, the apple section, the carrot piece, the
leaf cut from a foam meat tray, the brayer.

carrot piece used to stamp the fabric.
I used sodium alginate to thicken the dye. I added some
soda ash powder to the prepared mix to help set the
dye color which was a combination of blues.

this is the paper pattern that I used to cut the
design for the stamp. I used an exacto knife to
cut the stamp design but had to order lino cutters
in order to clean out the design to make it useful
as a stamp.

leaf from foam meat tray, onion, round circles are carrots, an apple on the upper right didn't turn out right. letters from a stamping alphabet and the linocut stamp. the linocut stamp was hard because the fabric dye would not adhere to it in a total coverage but beaded up.
